bee on mum

love like a sword

underneath your skin
lie continents

lakes and valleys
molded and torn
by time and weather

hidden
till love like a sword
lays you bare

soft quicksand
under my touch

red clover

space

soft wind blowing
from your eyes

pulls me
into your heartbeat

into the silence
between steps

the empty cry
of space

where things small
and familiar

melt
forever changed

glowing ivy

love changes your face

hills grow back softly
over sad gullies

love changes your face
when morning rushes in

setting golden leaves on fire
on every tree

that yesterday grew dry
but didn't fall

clematis seeds

to love the one with wings

words between wings
unsaid

silence
wind blowing clouds

whisper of feathers
rising

I slip through you
into the sky

my cute tiny spider friend

This is a jumping spider--harmless to humans, great for gardens!

creature from a star

you came

to crack my shell
tap my blood

pierce my heart
too long not bleeding

draw me out
in sweet salt drops

bend my sleep
share my skin

ageratum

hard times make you soft

hard times
make you soft

when ice has cracked you
long and deep enough

stone upon stone
blossoming into dust

the moon leans down
to its reflection

brushing its shadow
on the soft silver of your face

portrait of daisy

my haiku for today

unexpected flood
leaves rich soil in the desert
now our work begins

spotty on yellow

if I were wild

if I were wild
I would wake
in the cradle of the sky

stretch long
into the morning
and shake

if I ran wild
the mud between my toes
would speak

my shoulders would carry
the drifting snow

the moon
would cry out
in my voice

and in my belly
the sun
would crackle and shine

bittersweet vine over stream

when all life floated

before
these gentle hairs
made their way
down your smooth neck

even before
your feet touched earth

before your smile
broke over me
like a blue-green wave
and your mouth covered me

I remember the air
was dense as honey

in the time
when all life floated
and the sweet breath of water
was our bread

sunlit leaves

one small haiku

without permission
I reach through your skin, gently
caressing your heart

chrysanthemum fire
