The first photo I see so welcoming of snow in a valley....in colour --
I loved this one, my dear I love winter, snow and ice -- but was quite bogged down with some dreary ice and snow photos...but then they too had an appeal...was just wanting a change :)
Margie--If I only knew, I would have sent you all my snow! We got more than our share this year--but I guess the ski areas were happy... Thanks for the comment!
Lorraine--I think you agree with what I wrote to Margie...to me, this picture is of snow getting ready to melt! (It's snowing today again--enough already!)
Devika--I know what you mean--the sunshine really came out in this picture--usually we can feel it rather than see it...and I'll send you some snow, too!
Kai--I'll send you a little snowball shaped like a heart...
Brrr , looks frigid. Maybe a swim in summer here? Thanks for the visit; I think that the black ducklings are Pekins which, oddly enough are white when grown. I have hatched both Rouen and Khaki Campbells in my incubator but those ducklings are brown and yellowish as young.
I like that you liked Gilbert Grape and I like your blog.
Mark--I am so used to seeing snow, that all I could see in this photo was the glowing sunshine! Then I noticed that it was a winter scene...thanks for coming by, am always glad to see you!
Goatman--yes, I'm planning to try and find a swimming hole there in the summer... That is fascinating about the ducklings--especially the color change from black to white! I used to have a pet duck as a child, it went swimming in my bathtub. More recently I had a young swan living in my shower, that was injured on the beach in the winter. (It recovered and was released!) Yeah, Gilbert Grape is great! I'm glad you like my blog. Thanks for coming by...

Beautiful photo!
So serene!
I actually love the winter & snow.
This year, we have had very little snow and I have been missing it.
Firebird, thank you for sharing this lovely scene of winter.
Margie
Enchanting photo even if it is of snow ;)
