Devika--no need to defend the bluebells against being walked upon--one can refer to a "carpet of flowers" being the effect that they make, where they seem to cover the ground completely... here in the Botanical Garden, there is that convenient path, and security guards who will remind you if you step off it! In the wild, these bluebells do make a "carpet" under the trees...the gardeners are trying for the same effect. The flowers then, as all wildflowers, do so at the risk of being stepped on by all kinds of animals, but they are very prolific and seed themselves wherever they can, so they survive!
Lorraine--Thank you--I took your words as praise only...however these flowers do not have any fragrance that I remember--or I would plant them in a "carpet" myself! (They are actually easy to grow, in the right conditions...but I suspect that the last batch I planted were eaten by rodents before they could sprout--they are bulbs. Next time I may have to coat them in garlic juice!)
Mark--thanks for visiting! I appreciate your comment...see you again soon!
But the first impression the usage of a word makes has a strong effect in me...kind of very sensitive to it...and its just that I wanted to communicate that...
Lorraine knows me -- so I hope she would understand...
Nonetheless, the way you explain it is so relaxing, my dear :)
