this body

temple
etched by the sun

who built you

whose love
shaped your arches and rafters

whose cry
called you into being

and what sound
needed a home
so badly

temple
carved by the wind, fissured
but standing

this body, still bearing
its creators name

Lorraine--Thank you, I like your metaphor, how clever!

Devika--we will not count the years...not necessary, just live and enjoy! (as best we can)

Janice--your comment is awesome--and means a lot to me--thanks!

Simply beautiful. It reminds me of a phrase I often say to myself to bring inner calm, "God is breathing me."
Blessings all around...
