Devika--are you able to grow orchids outdoors at home, or do you keep them inside? This one must always be in a greenhouse, in our area. You are lucky to have one growing!
Misti--this orchid was one of hundreds (thousands?) in the annual Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden! This year's show was designed to honor Singapore's orchid displays--and to look similar in a smaller way, with arches of flowers that you walked under, and temple-like buildings. I have more photos, but it is difficult to capture the impact of the whole display! Is it hot in this season in Singapore? I don't think I would mind that right now!
Lorraine--this one is similar to the corsage orchids we see, but you're right, the colors and shape are a bit softer...and it is very fragrant, too!
Krystyna--I knew there was a reason for posting this photo! (Also it is nice to see some tropical life in the Winter...) And I bet you do look good in pink!
Polona--Me too, I have one very small orchid plant that has not grown one inch in years--(someday I will pay more attention to it, I promise!) It is hard to provide the right conditions. Thank you so much for coming by!
Krystyna--I watched the video on your site ( loved it!) will keep looking for more of your story...
