I appreciate the flattering photo you took of me when I was younger. However, two months is .08 dog years, which, multiplied by the square root of pie, makes a spruce tree of my months exactly sixteen in human years – although we do age slower than humans upon reaching puberty. It’s a complex calculation, I know. You have to be a spruce tree or an English major for it to make any sense.
By now I am two months older and have learned to write, use a computer, drive and I have my first part-time job bird-nesting.
I feel my photo needs an update or, without that, could at least use this verbal update from me.
Hey, baby-- I am agog at your development-- perhaps it is due to the fact that I moved you down from the hill into a "garden area"? Who knew? Be careful of those birds--they can be very "fly-by-night" when they owe you money...
B.S.--"agog" is a positive exclamation...not to be confused with "ablog" which can be quite dubious..."aghast" needs no mention at all, since it certainly cannot be applied to you...
mermaid--I love your comment! It is so perceptive--I like your idea about "learning both ways". (what doesn't show in the picture is that the old tree was cut down years ago, and I planted the baby near its stump to carry on...)

Agog, ablog, or aghast?
Why, excuse me...
What strikes me most is the innocence of the young spruce against the wisdom of the elder. The relationship is so essential for learning both ways.

That’s ghastly perspicacity if you ask me.
