snow
snow
falling through me
melting
you
out of my heart
snow
carrying away
your eyes
in rivulets
of coal
snow
bright acid
drifting
through
my veins
filling
your silent
tracks
with white
falling through me
melting
you
out of my heart
snow
carrying away
your eyes
in rivulets
of coal
snow
bright acid
drifting
through
my veins
filling
your silent
tracks
with white

For the sake of the soul one has to clean house from time to time!!
Pat--this is such a wise comment!
I must admit I am not very good at cleaning house, but never too late to learn...
Your statement really hits home--thanks for the insight and empathy!
Ah, this snow. Bottle it, and you may get rich. But - maybe you won't like to...
Greetings from a rain tortured country.
Susanne
Hi Susanne--Sorry you are having problems with rain where you are--
please bottle some and send it to Pat, there is not enough where he lives!
Thanks for coming to visit!
ah snow
love the line about coal
Hi Mandy--great to see you again!
Thanks so much for stopping to comment--and thank you for noticing that line!
melting you out of my heart
Matters of the heart are complex.
Yes, mb--and unpredictable--
but what would life be without them?
Thanks for the comment!
"Snow falling through me" is a nice image. To me it suggests both the way that flakes disappear when they land on you, and, at the same time, the vivid, "penetrating" impression that falling snow makes on the emotions.
Wow, Paul--I'm impressed at the way you really got into that image!
What a wonderful analysis, love it!
Did you happen to notice the post just prior to the one you commented on? I’m realizing it may have activated the snowflake lobe of my cerebral cortex – I know, I know, a whole lobe for that is extravagant, the doctors keep telling me…
Gee, Paul--I went through your home page, blog link, scrolled down, and, yes there was that VERY snowy post I recognized--(being one of those elect faithful--probably not so few as you think-- who read and enjoyed the post lo so many (?) years ago --
then I came back here and behold! here is a LINK to that post that you so kindly put in your comment, and I thought was just a cold word that turned blue...
But seriously--
is this your excuse for being flakey every year at this time?
