Monarchs are so rarely still, it seems, unless their wings are folded, dried-leaf style, as they huddle together waiting for the fall sun to warm them. I think they're nearly gone here. I saw a couple last week on the milkweed. This week everything is still, although the last blossoms call.

Hayden--I miss the monarchs already--guess they are on their way to Mexico. There seem to be fewer than in past years, though. Hop they make a come-back!

Lorraine--you're right, the echinacea is a healing plant, I forgot about that! And seeing a monarch butterfly is always a healing experience...
