breath
to think
my hand could reach
to your flesh
beyond flowers
love, you laugh
to think
this smear of clay
smallest of creation
could burn
like a sun
love, you laugh
and to think
that without even
the eyes of the wind
I could find you
love, you laugh
and to think
that without wings
I could hover
and come to rest
with my hand out
to hold
your breath
love, you laugh
my hand could reach
to your flesh
beyond flowers
love, you laugh
to think
this smear of clay
smallest of creation
could burn
like a sun
love, you laugh
and to think
that without even
the eyes of the wind
I could find you
love, you laugh
and to think
that without wings
I could hover
and come to rest
with my hand out
to hold
your breath
love, you laugh

Oh my firebird...
You made me cry...
may be i'm not love...

Your poem with its delightful imagery brilliantly depicts how easily yet profoundly love enters our hearts. Beautifully written Firebird.
my dear bird...
i do not know what runs my minds..or what's running in my mind...
was in a kind of a halloween...i'm not very familiar with the steps and rules of that kind ...was very much faltering... i hope you were a strength..yet i forgot to call upon you...
please see me both of CKW AND SOC-POL...and let me know if i'm right with what i'm doing..i firmly believe i'm doing right...
if i were close with Paul, he would have guided me more correctly...but i don't know ..i feel awkward reahing out to him...
could you take hhis opinion too??
i'm looking for you, my bird...please do come
lovingly,
devika
Devika--Your post on "A Certain Kind of Woman" made ME cry, too--
I wonder if for the same reasons...
Sometimes when the truth touches deep inside, that happens...but is the feeling sadness, happiness, something else?
Reading both of your posts, I saw a very confident writer with both feet on the ground, having more wise answers than questions. If you would tell me what it is you need an opinion about--I see no reason for faltering, in what you have written!
(You know you can always call on me if you are feeling unsure or sad...just e-mail)
Janice--I am so pleased at your comment about the poem--it is important to me to have your feedback!
Your visits are always greatly appreciated...thank you so much!
A sense of evanescent yet tangible...
Paul--a very insightful comment--
I guess that is the paradox of love.
Absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you, Pat--what more can I say?
