when stars die
when stars die
across distances
something green travels on
when stars fall
cutting the darkness
something green remains
not the missed glances
or the stars' tears
but the desire
pouring out of my throat
green in the night
across distances
something green travels on
when stars fall
cutting the darkness
something green remains
not the missed glances
or the stars' tears
but the desire
pouring out of my throat
green in the night

Oh, this hits me deep. Thank you.
I'm not sure I'm reading/interpreting this right, but I see light in darkness/death. Love the last three lines. "pouring out of my throat" has depth beyond mouth, tongue and lips. Great poem!!
mb--I'm glad that this poem touched you, and I appreciate your sharing it...thanks
pat--I love that you always see the "light" and positive images in these poems--and thank you for brightening my day! Your comments are always enlightening...
I like the green analogy.
Green denotes life!
gautami tripathy--yes, that is definitely true! (maybe that's why green is my favorite color) Thanks for the comment...
firebird, again your words cut deep to the core and at the same time heal the wounds. what an extraordinary miracle you are in my life!
snowsparkle--I do feel that sharing our pain and hope can be the best way to heal--if my poems can do this, that touches ME deeply! Thanks for being in my life, you are a miracle too...
