Lorraine--gosh, is that your weather these days? I shudder to think of it! Or maybe that is only the worst it gets in your area--We are getting a nice break at 50 at the moment, hope it lasts...sending some your way...
(actually, I have no idea what this ibis would do in winter weather--I have a Norfolk pine that is tropical but barely survived being frozen 2 winters ago outdoors--looks good now!)
What a beautiful bird! A house in the mountains sounds wonderful, are you going to blog about it? I am very lucky with Steve he lets me go as pink and girly as i like he said he likes to see me happy. Lovely to meet you x
SBTS-- Thank you so much for visiting, I love your blog, it is very inspiring in a charming way--
It would be a terrific idea to blog about my house, with photos of the many stages of construction (I was just going over the photos and being nostalgic!) The problem is I hardly have any computer time now with my work schedule...and when I am at the new house there is no internet, or even cell service (due to the mountains)
I am definitely going to use some of your ideas for fixing up old furniture...I have several very old six-panel mansion doors, that I can use for room dividers, and I like your "shabby chic" finishing style!
Yes, Steve sounds like a REAL man...need to be more like him, for sure! He is smart enough to know what is really important.
hh--Thank you for your visit, I have viaited your blog also. It is quite interesting, but computer generated translation program is not reliable, sorry to say...
Annie--Yes, this is a picture I took at the Bronx Zoo (Wildlife Conservation Society) in NYC, near where I work. I love to go there and take photos, I got lucky with this one. I think all the animal photos on my blog were taken at the Zoo, except for the butterflies...

Excellent macro, dear Pretty Bird I've never seen one like it, I guess they wouldn't do to well at Minus 29?
