Ilinza, spirit
of the mountain stream
show me, bright one
how you can sing and laugh
while those rough stones
cut your belly
is it because you do not love?
Ilinza, silken, yielding
open to all who enter
why do you not bleed
when your lover
kneels, drinks his fill
and walks away
if I were in your body,
something would break, Ilinza
there would be water flowing
a glint from wet eyes
a crack in the heart
is this your source, your spring,
reckless spirit
cupping and releasing
each crystal moment
with glistening fingers
is this your secret love, this flow
a passion
for letting go

oh I wish I could say I never broke just so I'd be part of you Ilinza
Lorraine--of course we break, we are human! That is why we need Ilinza to show us how to heal after we are wounded--she has helped me many times (yes, she is a real mountain stream spirit!)
