there is no forever in love

love, you have
my everything
for this moment only

Paradise, you know
must be lured like a bird
to one’s heart

in stealth
and stillness, while its tiny feet
move closer

until finally
its feathers brush against you

and the murmur
of its pulse
ripples your chest

not even daring to breathe
you hold
your stalker’s pose

flooded
by a sudden hurricane
of joy

afraid the brief wind
of your exhaled breath
might break the spell

you have my everything
for this moment only

ask me for forever, love
ask again

Lovely, but amazed that anyone can think that love only lasts for the hear and now. If the poem portrays someone who was asking someone to be with them forever, then I get it, but not sure how this made you think of me. I also saw that you follow only 2 blogs, and one is mine. What an honor. The profile pic that you now makes you look like a polynesian island girl. What nationality are your parents and ancestors. Do you use facebook or twitter? Thank you for your compassion and help.

love... how can someone define or incarcerate,... moments bloom every moment and live to them... and so i would say... moments are never moments... they are the way of life.. a continuity,...(will u ever forget those moments..????)

mam... nice read...

Lovely poem dear bird...not sure, but if a heart is possessed by love is the source of pain it is said - but this poem speaks of the beauty of love :)

Sheila/Bluebirdy--I follow your blog because it is so beautiful--because you put so much love into it!

The Sufi poem was the one that reminded me of you, I sent you the message before I posted this poem, so I was hoping you would get my second message so as not to be confused!

Bhargav's comment sheds some light on your question about love lasting forever--we truly only live in the moment, and love must be reborn every moment to last...and I do believe this is possible!

The meaning of the Sufi poem was being in the hands of God through all our stages of existence, that is what I see in your life.

For your info--yes, I suppose I could pass for Polynesian--my mother was Japanese, my father German background. My hair is below my waist now. I don't go on Facebook or Twitter, since there are a few persons from my past I would rather avoid. Also I don't have regular access to a computer--or the time!

Bhargav--you have gotten to the heart of what I was saying--so very wise in your words...and I couldn't have said it better!

Bird--I am so pleased you have returned from migration--and please stop by any time!

Devika--I imagine if a love is not returned, or is blocked, it is a source of pain...but love itself is a blessing--

Lorraine--your comment is magical, too! As usual for you...

as for me, it is a contradiction --i think any conditionalities would make love a pain; but there are aspects where there is no compromise. That's about personal, private, emotional love.

Universal love -ofcourse there is no conditions, no expectations -- just in the state of being -- and love prevails -- you don't need anything back -- but will the world let that pure love flow? well one need not mind what the world allows or disallows --but when the world is at the receiving end!!? ha :))

whatsoever, i agree love is a blessing...if not life will not be worth a thing!

And imagine -- we have been quite successful in creating a malicious world where every action is looked upon with a microscope than a telescope --

i think when you have to chose that painless love, it must be telescope than microscope....no any individual being perfect enough for a microscopic study :)

Devika--yes, you are right, when we let our love flow freely, we can't use a microscope! We just have to trust the Source to show us where to direct it...and take the consequences!

But do you mean to say love can bring in dangerous consequences?

all i have known personally is you get close to the Source, and gain a few friends like you, dear bird...and personally for me that wasn't a bad experience; rather a very good one...except for the hurt that is part of the love (but we know they go together)

unconditional love can be most hurtful if one doesn't practice the vital detachment that is part and parcel of such a thing called "unconditional love" -- that's Oriental thought...

the world is generally ready for it only when things are in one's favour...but that i guess isn't the way to it....well, deeper thoughts, perhaps we will see it along the way :)

oh so nice to have that, dear bird...i'm infact quite wary of the stuff my muse brings forth....and it seeks freedom, so i let it out,

Glad you like it, dear bird and thanks so much :)

dear, i can't get that cut and paste working proper on my blogs...some day in between the blogger html formatting had gone awry...and i can't seem to set it right on my own -- it now works on minimal settings, (no option with links, colour texts, font size etc...i left it as such,

any idea as to how to get it back?

Devika--I wish I knew these things--but Blogger and Yahoo are entities beyond my comprehension--

The links on my blog are never functional as links, I don't know how to make them work that way.

I think your muse is just fine and I would trust it!
