gautami--thanks, the color was a surprise, but I like it too!
pat--Now that you mention it, I'm overdue to go to the Aquarium myself-- (this picture was taken at the "Fish Expo"--a fabulous--but small--store)
/t.--Thanks, thanks again, good suggestion...will try to get more savvy with the editing software... and thanks again!
mb--What an interesting image in your comment! Yes, it does have a glass-like quality--a bit unreal, really...
perci--Sad to say, the last of us Rhinemaidens moved to the reservoir downstream...too many fly-fishermen and tubers... (no, not potatoes--humans floating in inner-tubes...the nemesis of fly-fishermen!)
Greetings good lady Firebird. (Or should that have read Fireboid?!)
Your praise for my little bit posted in comment to your ode on the Romantic Dandy's site was most kind. How could I help but track my way back here to thank you proper?
But now that I am here, I find that I am the one filled with awe. You're possessed of a good poet's pen and a fine photographer's eye. This site, and this post ... luvery. Just luverly!
lady w.--You are so generous to stop by and leave such a wondrous comment! You are ever the cosmopolitan--both New York City and London in the same breath, plus the language on your blog (that I can't quite place)-- Certainly not a state of confusion, but many-faceted...
carmen--Welcome again...I am surrounding myself with purple suddenly--am I changing frequency--or dimension?? Perhaps you can relate...
mon cher perci--No-one has seen this fish --it is only purple in this crazy picture...peut-etre un reve?

I love the purple, mauve shade of it.
Went to the Georgia Aquarium last week. Don't remember if I saw any of these, but tons of others just as beautiful.

Reminds me of glass art. Very pretty.
So then you swim beneath Esopus Creek as well?
