Dear Firebird,
Now, then, that we are quite alone, I must offer remonstrance - I am, as you know, of sensitive, artistic temperament - and take thee to task for failing to comment on my most recent post.
It was terribly self revealing, an entry from mine own private journal; it is quite hurtful that you have not commented, expecially since I exposed myself principally for you.
I note too that you have not directly responded to my proposal of marriage. Yet I understand that you must ponder...
Indeed, I have now writ "Ode to an Ode," and entirely because you expressed interest - ere this, 'twas no such poem, twas a fictional reference, an artistic liberty.
Yet I shall sternly refrain from posting the gem until these unfortunate misunderstandings have been rectified.
