I'm with Snowsparkle on this - make it into a poster and smell it. For has't not the bard himself told us that a rose by any other name such as "poster of a rose" must smell as sweet? And surely there has been no greater linguistic genius among us unless perhaps quite recently.
And like MB, each and every time I look at it, I see a rose - unless I deliberately cross mine eyes, whereupon two appear, and this be twice as good. For though we are told a rose is a rose is a rose, they do add up.

PS Thou, I need'nt say but hasten to add, art the most veritable rose among the buds...

I've looked at this several times now. The first time I saw it I gasped. Essence of rose.

pat--Thanks, I'm a fool for roses myself--I can't stop planting them!
(Although not all of them live...)
ss--This is a great idea! Although i don't know how to go about it, I'll look into it...
mb--The photo has been growing on me--I despaired of capturing the essence of the original--thank you for feeling it!
percy--Your comments are deep indeed--I must ponder the implications--
And to compare me to a rose--you have made me blush!
