no more smooth seas
few know as I do
waves swelling to
inches from heaven
few know as I do
all waves must fall
no more smooth seas
my ship will ride you
to the ocean's floor
in the rare air
between towering peaks
in the throat of the storm
waves swelling to
inches from heaven
few know as I do
all waves must fall
no more smooth seas
my ship will ride you
to the ocean's floor
in the rare air
between towering peaks
in the throat of the storm

"my ship will ride you to the oceans floor"
firebird, i savored every word of this poem, but for some reason these words drew me the most.
perfect image too!
i come here empty and leave marvelously full!
thank you!
Wow.
Yes, that's the phrase that got me, too.
Great shot to accompany it, too.
ss--I feel so happy that you feel satisfied coming here--that's what keeps me going!
mb--Thanks-- I took the photo my first day with my new camera--but it had too many pixels to fit on Blogger. Then by "coincidence" I wrote the poem (not with the picture in mind at all) and then found the technology to lower the pixels--
guess it wasn't coincidence, was it...
I can't believe that guy was fishing in those waves!
Coincidence or creativity, it's the perfect match!
It is so long since my seas have been smooth... firebird I love what you do with words - they speak to my heart, no, they speak my heart.
Thank you, Gracie, that's such a beautiful comment--and truly speaks to me...!
