ah honeysuckle! the favorite flower of my childhood. i'd pluck the center stamen and suck the sweet nectar, intoxicated by the scent. thanks for this glimpse of heaven.
Yes, ss: I used to do that too, and the wild scent and taste are definitely heavenly! Actually THIS flower is an unusual honeysuckle variety, more compact than normal, and is fragrant only in the evening after 5PM, with a scent like men's cologne...go figure...but it's fun to have in my front yard!
