all I ask is the heart
all I ask is the heart
to blaze
in the hot sun
with the brilliance of a rose
to smile
when the shredded petals fall
down to the gentle worms
at my feet
to drink each shower
till the clouds dry and break
not measuring the minutes
of the last rainbow
to blaze
in the hot sun
with the brilliance of a rose
to smile
when the shredded petals fall
down to the gentle worms
at my feet
to drink each shower
till the clouds dry and break
not measuring the minutes
of the last rainbow

A very beautiful and gentle poem!!
It is a simple request, to be fully present in the moment. And it is one we spend infinite lifetimes to grant ourselves. I stand beside you in making this request of myself. But the beautiful and unique way that it is expressed here is all your own.
Delicate, yet with an underlying strength of soul. Beautiful metaphors and a lyrical sound.
